Someone somewhere dropped a picture online yesterday which implied that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was being split into two films, with the first installment, entitled Enter the Knight, arriving on October 23rd of this year. Even though we all know it’s probably not true, a number of sites ran with it because it’s good for traffic and they can get two stories out of it once it’s debunked. Considering I am fashioning an article out of it too, I will not judge. Yes I know the last time I presumed that a rumor about a major superhero film being split into two parts was malarkey didn’t quite work out for me (stupid Infinity War!), so for now let’s just take an educated guess that it’s probably a fake rumor. So putting aside the fact that I think it is malarkey, I’d like to concentrate on why it would be a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad idea to split Batman v Superman into two films.
