Gray’s “Compton” was a massive hit that has kept the director in demand since its release. Gray is said to also be a contender to direct “Black Panther” for Marvel.

I find it a little silly that Marvel/DC feel the need to hire a woman to direct female superhero movies and blacks to direct black leading superhero films.
