I absolutely love this film. I know it had certain issues and some people had heavy criticisms towards it and I can respect that. However, the one criticism that doesn’t hold up is when people try to say that this isn’t Superman. This IS Superman, not the Donner Superman, but most certainly the comic book Superman. Snyder really does know the character. I just saw it again. Love it. Can’t wait for Batman v Superman! One more week!!
Biggest problem with this movie.
“What was I supposed to do, just let them die?”
“Maybe”
-_-
that and the tornado scene, the rest was cool xD
This movie gets better everytime i watch it unlike most superhero movies these days
No need to review it again. There was never anything wrong with MoS.
A criminally underappreciated film. Some people just didn’t get it. Perhaps BvS will be easier for the critics and fans to digest.
Senile huggies wearing Batman,”pretty boy” Cavill who cant act if his life depended on it and an anorexic coke head as Wonder Woman?
Impossible to digest,i actually threw up in my mouth a little bit when i typed this…
Wow you must be fun at parties
I love how these guys aren’t just moronic internet DC haters who say random BS about MoS, which was incredible! :D
https://www.youtube.com/wat… This fits right here.
That was amazing
In deed it was, just to imagine what’s coming with the league reunion, all under the marvellous photography and beauty eye of Snyder, the man.
OMG.
I already loved MOS but that video made me emotional as f.
I mean, F !
Snyder, you f-ing rock
It was the Indian Ocean, so, sorta.
Great movie, though.
This movie made me more invested in Superman, and today, he is my favourite comic book character of all time.
No. Just no.
I like you guys, and mostly respect your opinion, but having the movie “explain” itself more would NOT improve it, it would worsen it. One of the things I loved most is how it left certain things open to viewer interpretation.
Doing what you suggest would dumb it down so lowest common denominator types could understand too.
No thanks.
There’s something to what you’re saying.
I truely enjoyed this movie. Definitely my favorite superman film. My biggest problem though was the dialogue. All throughout the movie there were lines that look me out for a minute. Russell Crowe is one of my favorite actors but I felt like it wasn’t a great performance. The whole “who will decide…. You?” Bothers me every time I watch it. Maybe it was the script that killed it? Idk. Same with Lara’s “his name is Kal”. But other than that, I loved it. The bar scene was great. I really liked the fact that superman killed Zod. I think that Zod knew he was beat and making Kal kill him was his final 🖕🏻. I think he wanted to truely hurt superman and I hope to see in bvs that it’s something that still haunts him. I actually really feel for Zod. His life’s purpose was to protect krypton. He was literally made to do so. That’s what made him so terrifying. Then when I heard the rumor that Lex reanimates his body (and most likely torchures him) I started really feeling bad for him. Lex, what have you done? Can’t wait for more! 4 more days!!!!!
Kelex was voiced by Carla Gugino who was Silk Spectre I in Watchmen!
I’m glad to see so many people in the comics enjoyed this as much as I did, or at least give it a fair amount of respect. I think most of the criticisms against it are unwarranted or are given without a lot of consideration to the larger themes at play or the source material. Was it a perfect movie? Of course not, very, very few movies are. But long story short, I believed MOS’s Superman, and by the end I wanted to be just like him. That’s good enough for me!
the smallville fight scene was awesome because of how much of a struggle it was for clark. every time he tries something someone gets in his way. especially when faora and non are beating him down and when he tries to get one the other pulls him down in great co-ordinated attacks. that’s what made it better than the zod fight for me. still loved the film, but when the action is precise like the one in smallville is when it’s at its best.
i agree that the red belt of the new 52 sucks, but i love how the “belt buckle” in MOS is rounded. it’s a small thing but it gives me a kind of a classic feel that i love with a lot of zack’s choices with the suits so far
