When Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on November 5, 2021, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster won’t be the only one returning to the fray. According to director Taika Waititi, the lovable Korg is also coming back.
While promoting his new film Jojo Rabbit, Waititi told Jimmy Kimmel that “Thor 4 will have twice the Thor.” Waititi also confirmed Korg will be back, hopefully accompanied by his friend Meek.
“My character is coming back, Korg,” Waititi said, to rapturous applause from the audience. “Thank you. Thank you so much for that reaction.”
Since appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, Korg has become one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most beloved supporting characters. He has mourned his friend Doug, mused about revolutions, and butt heads with NoobSlayer69.
In addition to Portman’s Jane Foster and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Tessa Thompson will also return as Valkyrie, who has a new title of Queen of Asgard.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
