They are also interested in filming Captain Marvel there as well. And while it would be convenient for the Aussie actor, Disney’s reasons are a little bit bigger than that. As Yahoo Movies reported, Disney had a “great experience” filming Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in the land Down Under earlier this year, and would like to produce more movies there.
“The big bosses were very pleased throughout the year it took to shoot out here and now they’re looking at bringing out one of the Marvel films,” said one of Pirates’ technical specialists, who remained anonymous.
