We waited and waited and waited, and director Patty Jenkins finally delivered. Boy, did she deliver.
The first Wonder Woman 1984 trailer was released on Sunday, and there’s a lot to unpack. Not least of which is the return of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), who is very out of his element in the 1980s. The biggest question everyone will have is: How is he alive?
As we await that answer, the footage introduces many other big moments — and new characters, including Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and Pedro Pascal’s Max Lord. Wonder Woman 1984 appears to introduce Wiig’s character as Diana’s friend, but something will apparently happen that turns her to a life of villainy.
Otherwise, the trailer is filled with plenty of action and a heroic look at Diana’s glorious Golden Eagle Armor. We can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.
