Aquaman is the highest-grossing movie in the world this weekend despite being open in only one market. The film earned a staggering $93.6M in its opening weekend in China, per Exhibitor Relations. That’s the highest total ever for Warner Bros. in the Middle Kingdom and well over box office tracking.

“Shatters Records”
So now having moderate success is “Record Shattering” as long as it’s a DC film?
Is this what we are to celebrate, mediocrity?0 likes-
If you read the full article it did shatter WBs last record by almost 50%.

AGAIN, in terms of movies, it’s not that big of a deal unless you apply it to specific rules. IE “WB’s last big movie.”
In terms of movies, not WB, not DC, just movies Aquaman isn’t doing anything that hasn’t been done. This is over hyping the fact it’s doing well.0 likes-
Well the article is talking about DC movies not all movies in general. Even among superhero movies it was only behind avengers movies and venom, so that’s is really good for a solo superhero movie.
