‘Birds of Prey’ Screenwriter Discusses the Mixed Reaction to the Film’s Full Title

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a mouthful of a movie title. Most people initially thought Marot Robbie (Harley Quin) was just messing around when she handwrote the rest of the title below the typed Birds of Prey on the script.

Robbie wasn’t kidding, though, and the title is indeed real. Writer Christina Hodson wasn’t going to give away any of the film’s secrets in a conversation with Variety but noted that there are reasons for all of the additional verbiage.
