“Black Widow has been around from day one of this…” he said. “…and is portrayed with this kind of heavy-hearted ferocity by Scarlett Johansson – who I think is as good as any actor working today.
“It seems like it would be tragic, it would be a waste, if that character wasn’t given the spotlight in the way that some of the other characters have been.

If they would go into a more serious spy angle with her and perhaps throw Bucky into the mix it would certainly become a movie that could generate a pull.

It wouldn’t be tragic at all imo. She’s not enough to carry an entire film on her own. Like to see her get more exposure, sure, but not a full movie. She’s a good character in mash-up films, but she’s no Ms. Marvel, Storm, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, or any other high-profile superheroine in any universe. Sorry.

Out of all characters, I feel like Black Widow is the most neglected in the Marvel movies. AOU just made me stop caring about her so if they’d did make a movie about her I’ll wait until it comes out on pay-per-view or not see it at all.
