“It was sh*t. Yeah, it was sh*t reviews. I got my throat cut,” Ayer said of Suicide Squad. “It was a super polarizing movie. Incredibly polarizing.”
Ayer told ET that the poor critical response to Suicide Squad made him a bit “gun shy” about taking on Bright.

He’s right, while SS did have glaring issues, is it a terrible movie? No.

We ALL make mistakes. Unfortunately, the internet emboldens and entitles people who put forth their opinions as word of God. David Ayer is a gifted film artist. Perfect? No. But then again…nobody is.
