A reboot of the diminishing mutant movie series is in the works as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine heads for retirement and a studio’s $4 billion franchise sits in flux.

The recast of Wolverine will be the start of a Marvel Studios/Fox deal. Marvel will make the new X-Men-movies and will use Wolverine and Fantastic 4 in the MCU. Fox will make r-rated X-Force, Deadpool and Wolverine movies. Mark my words.
Don’t replace him. Just move on with X-23 taking over.
They have been looking for a new Wolverine for a while now. Hugh Jackman want Tom Hardy to replace him. X-23 is not the same character. It would be like replacing Spider-Man with Spider-Gwen. I want both X-23 and Logan in the same universe. We wanna see him fight Hulk! He has had some pretty crazy fights with X-23 too. Wolverine needs a new orgin movie too really, really bad. Rated R ofc. Everything with Wolverine should be rated R, except the X-Men and Avengers team ups. The X-Force teamup with Wolverine, X-23, Cable, Deadpool and others should be R.
Trump isn’t going to allow hollywood to make anymore movies.
“They [Fox/Marvel] aren’t more chit chatty. Sometimes studios have to make deals. People shouldn’t infer anything more than that.” – http://bit.ly/2go866j
Case closed: http://superheronews.com/ke… ;)
It doesn’t need another reboot. Mystique is NOT the center of the X-Verse. She shouldn’t have been in it as much as she has. Just continue on without her
She is not the only one without contract. They wanna start all over with the new Wolverine actor, likely in the MCU.
Why would Fox want to make a deal with Marvel Studios?
There is no monetary gain in it for them & having their characters pop up in the MCU would do nothing to increase awareness of them. What Fox needed to do (with the X-men), was get a group of actors & stick with them. Follow them as they grew up, Harry Potter style (& preferably with their characters more like their comic counter-parts).
If they have no choice but to re-boot, then Yes, they may have to contact Marvel Studios. If that does become the case: Fox can keep the X-men (& related franchises) & give Marvel Studios Fantastic Four back, so they have access to The Negative Zone, meaning they can do Annihilation Wave, for Avengers 4. ;D
They will benefit in the same way that Sony did with the Marvel deal. It is still Sonys character, but Marvel makes the movies. Universal made this deal with Hulk too. Fiege has hinted that something is going on and most experts think it’s a matter of time.
Universal didn’t make a deal. Marvel doesn’t need them to. Universal only hold distribution rights, to any future solo hulk films. This means they get first pass on distributing it. If they say “No thanks” somebody else gets to distribute it.
They did though. There would be no Hulk in the MCU if Universal and didn’t have some sort of agreement.
“It is true that Universal still holds the distribution rights to any future Hulk movies, but the character rights and licenses firmly belong to Marvel after Universal didn’t act on a sequel to Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk.
What that means is that Universal has “the right of first refusal,” to future Hulk films. For example, if Marvel decides they want to make The Incredible Hulk 2, or make rumors about Planet Hulk or World War Hulk come true, Universal has first crack at deciding whether or not they want to distribute.
If they refuse, that doesn’t mean the film won’t move forward, it just means another studio will distribute instead.”

Just start over and end this damn timeline for good
Well its a dam good thing because Jennifer Lawrence is a stingy actress!! Now the X men films won’t focus on Mystique but on the X Men!
