CinemaBlend Events Editor Eric Eisenberg recently spoke with X-Men overseers Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker about James Mangold’s Logan, and the state of multiple X-Men movies. When we brought up Gambit, Kinberg confirmed to us:
“In terms of Gambit, that’s a movie that we’re still developing very actively, and Channing [Tatum] is incredibly committed to it. We plan to probably shoot that at the beginning of next year.”
My question is, will there be enough material to pull from? I’d hate if they made the Deadpool mistake of having a no-name as their villain. especially since Gambit doesn’t have a huge fanbase that would die for him…
