With Justice League out on Digital HD and Blu-ray as well, its run at the box office has come to an end. Zack Snyder’s big superhero team-up movie made $657.9 million worldwide, the lowest of any DC Extended Universe movie yet. For comparison, Marvel’s first Avengers movie made $1.5 billion.
Well, external factors aside, this was a complete all around failure by Warner Brothers and DC. I’m sure the ignorant among us like LegendInMyMind, eyelang and J.K.2017 will pin it all on Zack Snyder but for those of us who actually bother to read things like the article in The Wrap, who listened to Forbes’ Mark Hughes on the Holy Batcast, and who just bothered to look up history, this was just another screwup in a long line that’s just going to get longer.
And if any of you clowns want to take me to task for what I said then you’re dumber than you’ve already proven yourselves to be. I won’t argue that Snyder took his interpretations of the World’s Finest too far in the wrong direction. But the people in charge at WB do not give two f**** about source material or characterization. If BvS made $1 billion Snyder would’ve been given free reign to do JL the way he intended. Period. It’s incredible how you folks just don’t f****** get that it’s about the money, not the interpretation.
So spare everyone your “f*** you you’re just a Snyder c*********” comments. Anyone with common sense knows he’s not the biggest (or the only) problem with this film series.
