It seems there may be some movement on Matt Reeves long-gestating The Batman film, and a new version of the script could be coming any day now.
Umberto Gonzalez, who has a pretty impeccable track record on these types of matters, tweeted on Tuesday that a rewrite of the script was due to be turned in before the end of the year.

So about a 2021 to 2022 release at the pace they are going.
Should give WB enough breathing room to introduce a new Batman without doing a full universe reboot.
Still about 10 years sooner than another Superman movie. -
Can someone tell me if they’re just straight-up abandoning the established continuity? Or are they trying to keep it going? I’m a little confused on that point.

Nothing has been established one way or the other, just speculation based on an unconfirmed report that Reeves wants a younger Batman.
Though, I buy it, I think it’s going to Retcon Batman.
