While it’s rare to see the same actor star in major comic book franchises for competing companies, it’s not unheard of. Just this year, Josh Brolin starred in Avengers: Infinity War for Marvel Studios and Deadpool 2 for Fox. Yes they are both under the Marvel banner, but Brolin was working for two completely different companies with different contracts (Marvel’s movie rights are split among Disney, Fox, and Sony).
