Variety is reporting that Robert Zemeckis and Matthew Vaughn are currently Warner Bros.’ top choices to direct The Flash.

Update: The Hollywood Reporter added a third name. They say that Spider-Man Trilogy director Sam Raimi is also a strong contender!

I am rooting for Vaughn here, but wouldn’t be too upset with the other two. I just feel that Vaughn is younger and hungrier to take on a role like this. But… maybe save Vaughn for Superman?
