Starring Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a groundbreaking superhero film that combined computer animation and hand-drawn comic book techniques. The painstaking work resulted in one of the most visually arresting films ever created.
The film also featured a fantastic story, interesting characters, wonderful voice acting, and a hilarious script. It was ultimately rewarded with an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
Following the first film’s success, a sequel was always expected, but it’s nice to have formal confirmation. It’s just too bad we have to wait so long.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 is set to hit theaters on April 8, 2022.
