Since X-Men was released in 2000, Lee has popped up in nearly every one of the Marvel movies, from Marvel Cinematic Universe entries to stories tackled by other studios. Of the 28 live action Marvel cameos he’s made so far, Lee’s favorite is his appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and he recently revealed that the reason he likes it so much is because he scored extra screen time. Lee said:
“The thing I loved about that cameo is, if you think about it, that is the only cameo I’ve done that had two scenes. It was more than a cameo. It was almost like a role in the movie! So now I’m shooting for cameos that have three scenes, four scenes. Eventually I hope to be the co-star.”
