It sounds like what we saw in that set photo isn’t a full representation of what Starfire will look like on the show. Some CGI will likely be added as well, perhaps to make her orange. Natural light and the absence of color are 2 totally different things. Regardless of that, i find it amazing how you got insecurity and anything to do with race from that comment.

Don’t think she was referring to the fact that many (myself included) thought she looked like a prostitute.

Still speculating though. I have seen many a hate filled comments about character costumes. She could be referring to that.

Uh, most of the comments I saw had more to do with her lacking the orange skin tone, bad costume and wig. The vast majority of complainants, including myself, couldn’t care less if she is black, white or whatever before having her skin tinged orange. Maybe that will be done CGI, but that doesn’t do much to alleviate the wig and costume. It seems the go to response from studios (and it was the studio that made her post that), is to try and shame people away from criticizing their show by throwing out racism comments.

How you know the wig and the costume isn’t from a scene in the show where she has to dress up and try to look normal? A image inducer by Raven so she can fit in on earth a lot more, we don’t know

If that’s the case then all three did a piss poor job of blending in because their alleged civilan attire looks an awful lot like their superhero attire. What are they, Power Rangers?
