‘Suicide Squad 2’ production not expected to start until late 2018, at the earliest

Variety’s Justin Kroll’s sources say that Suicide Squad 2 won’t go into production until the fall of 2018, at the earliest. The reason? Will Smith will be busy with Disney’s Aladdin (he’s playing the Genie) and another movie called Gemini Man.
