The Flash movie, Flashpoint, is in talks with new directors, Vacation’s John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Perhaps more interesting than that is the fact that Variety says Warner Bros. went to Ben Affleck first and he turned it down.

Variety says that Ben Affleck is expected to appear in the standalone Flash movie, but that it’s very unlikely he will star in The Batman. According to their sources, director Matt Reeves wants to cast the role with “fresh talent”. Reeves has been meeting with potential Batman actors recently, most notably Jake Gyllenhaal.
Morgan, who seemed to know all about the Flashpoint storyline where Thomas Wayne becomes Batman, smiled when the possibility of him playing Batman was brought up. After nervously trying to change the subject, Morgan said that he doesn’t know anything about playing Batman. SOURCE: Batman News
Variety reporter Justin Kroll says that Harold turned in his Flashpoint script to Warner Bros. yesterday. Robert Zemeckis is still being considered to direct, though Kroll notes that Warner Bros. is still meeting with other directors and is in no rush to make any announcements.
