Most fans have longed for the day when every Marvel character can play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In order for that to happen, Disney is going to have to get the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises back from Fox. The chances of that happening were located somewhere between slim and none until we learned on Monday that Disney actually has held talks with Fox about buying the latter’s movie studio and cable networks. It seemed like a dream come true for most, but not for everyone, including Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld.
Liefeld was probably relieved to learn that the talks between Disney and Fox are no longer active. Of course, those negotiations can be reactivated at any moment and Liefeld is urging Fox to hold off on any sale of its movie studio to Disney. He wrote an open letter to Fox and shared it on his Facebook page.
