Hope came last weekend by way of Underworld star Kate Beckinsale saying that any crossover between her vampire franchise and Blade would have to wait because Marvel had plans for the character.
Immediately fans began wondering where Blade would show up—movies, Netflix, ABC—and how soon they might see him. It turns out, patience will still be needed as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told reporters at last night’s Doctor Strange IMAX sneak peek event in Burbank. He confirmed that there were talks of an Underworld crossover that did not come to fruition, but not because of any immediate plans for Blade.
